Bollywood is usually not known for classy and realistic horror movies which give the viewer goosebumps and frightens him intensely, almost taking him on a short trip to a parallel netherworld of spirits, voodoo, ghosts and flying, fire gushing monsters. Or a face off with the poltergeists and apparitions in his own mind.
Supernatural, psychological thriller and horror are rather an offbeat genre in the song and copious dance sequence motivated Bollywood. We have had our share of good horror movies in past, but nothing close to movies like Silence of the Lambs or The Exorcist or Paranormal Activity. We prefer the romantic, the theatric and the “angry young man” action over spooky thrillers maybe, and this reflects in movie production also.
But for horror movie fans, the wait is over. The short trailer of upcoming movie Dobaara – See Your Evil is sure to make you quiver and get lost in the dark sequences and jaw-dropping horror retelling of the past in the most somber manner. The movie is a remake of Hollywood movie Oculus. And it is an unusual and indestructible mirror which is responsible for many deaths. It is this mirror which casts horror in the life of the beautiful and expressive Huma Qureshi, lead actress in the movie, and her on-screen brother Saqib Saleem, who is also the real-life sibling of Huma. This is the first movie of the bro-sis duo together. The movie was initially supposed to release in 2015, with the title Zahhak, but it got delayed.
The movie will release on 2nd June 2017.
