Like always, saving the best for the last; MS Dhoni entered his beast mode and smashed 5 sixes to make a 26-ball 40. After losing in-form Rahul Tripathi and Steve Smith too early, Rising Pune Supergiants got much-needed support from Ajinkya Rahane and Manoj Tiwari who added 80 runs for the third wicket partnership.
However, it was the swashbuckling knock of MS Dhoni which made all the difference. Dhoni’s destructive batting in the last two overs helped the Supergiants to score 41 runs in the last 2 overs. The crowd went crazy over each and every run scored by Dhoni. It was a pleasant surprise, as Dhoni scored only 18 runs from the first 14 balls but smashed 6 sixes in the last 8 balls.
Twitter also went crazy after completely decimated the bowling of Mumbai Indians. Apart from hailing the thunderous knock of the most successful captain of India, Tweeple also trolled Harsh Goenka.

Some pitches are favourable for the batsmen, some for the bowlers. This pitch is favourable to the wicket-keepers. #MIvRPS #Dhoni #Parthiv
