Baba Ramdev’s name has been re-included in the Guinness Book of World Records for maximum number of people doing yoga at a single venue.
On 21st June, International Yoga Day, 54,522 people did yoga at GMDC stadium in Ahmedabad. Also present at the stage was Gujarat CM, Vijay Rupani, and BJP national president, Amit Shah. The deputy CM and several senior bureaucrats were also doing yoga.
Previous world record was also of Baba Ramdev, when 35,594 people did Yoga in 2015 in Delhi, including PM Modi. That was the occasion of first International Yoga Day.
Baba Ramdev was very happy that he has broken his own previous world record.
Both Baba Ramdev and Amit Shah thanked PM Modi for popularising yoga.
