Exit polls for UP elections point towards a BJP victory in the state after 14 years. Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav reacted to this development saying that a tie-up with BSP is better than Presient’s Rule in the state, in event of a hung assembly. He was speaking to BBC Radio when he made this huge statement. As per reports from Times Now BSP has responded by saying that they will wait for the results.
The Times Now exit poll predicts 190 to 210 seats for BJP and its allies in Uttar Pradesh. 203 is the magic number for any party to be able to form the government in the state. According to the exit poll, the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance can expect 110-130 seats while BSP will have to be content with 57-74 seats.
