Daniel Craig to return in the 25th James Bond movie in 2019
The 25th film in the James Bond franchise will release in November 2019. The role of Bond will be played by Daniel Craig. Initially Daniel refused to be a part of the next Bond movie and famously said during the promotion of Spectre in 2015 that he will rather slash his wrist than act in another Bond movie.
Spectre crashed at the box office and had mixed reviews. Director Sam Mendes was blamed for not giving enough time to the movie.
The New York Times writes” “Craig’s return is a done deal, according to two people briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid conflicts with Eon and MGM.”
The script of the movie will be written by The film will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, who also wrote the last 6 Bond movies.
A competition over the distribution rights of the upcoming movie is going on. And in the fray are the biggest Hollywood studios: Warner Bros, Universal, Fox.
