MS Dhoni is known as captain cool, and with good reason. Once again in India’s third one day international game against Sri Lanka, Dhoni showed his cooler side by taking dozing off on the field. It came after an incident that halted the play.
India was merely eight runs away from winning when off field drama halted the play for nearly half an hour. Sri Lankan fans, angered by their team’s dismal performance threw bottles on the field.
Just like his batting, Dhoni made use of his exceptional timing and took a nap to recharge his batteries on the field. However, after a span of fifteen minutes, India came out to bat and chased the target. Rohit Sharma remained undeterred with a 124 runs inning; while MS Dhoni scored 67 not out.
After the match, skipper Virat Kohli lauded his side for securing the series with a strong win. He praised Rohit Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah for their match winning contributions, “,”Rohit was outstanding, MS was great as well. Bumrah has got 11 wickets in three games, he’s bowled really well. Last game he missed out on a five-for, but he got it this time. He’s among our top short-format bowlers. He’s doing a great job for us, and I wish him all the best.” He said.
