From Vogue to BBC, Mithali Raj is ruling the roost everywhere
From the time, the women’s cricket team entered the finals of the ICC World Cup 2017, things have taken a pleasant turn for women in cricket in the country. The very talented Mithali Raj, who shepherded the mighty XI to the incredible feat is making quite a wave in public circles these days. She recently featured on the cover of Vogue in its special edition, ” Women of The Year”. Featured alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Nita Ambani, she looked absolutely ravishing dressed in a black jumpsuit by Johanna Ortiz.
She has added yet another feather to her rather prolific hat. She has been chosen as one of the most influential women by BBC in its 100 women list 2017.

Ira Trivedi, a yoga teacher and activist from Delhi
Aditi Avasthi from Bengaluru, founder and CEO of Embibe
Tulika Kiran who has been teaching kids in Tihar from the past eight years. She belongs to Delhi.
Dr. Urvashi Sahni, a social entrepreneur, educationist and a women rights activist.
There is also Nitya Thummalachettym in the list, a business analyst with CareCentra in New York.
As per the release published by BBC, the list is comprised from all spheres of modern life – from engineering to creative industries, from sport to business – they represent the global wealth of female talent.
The release also added, ““The Indian women named are part of the list of 60 women from around the world who are working or campaigning in these fields or who have inspired others through their actions”.
