Gold | after Shahrukh Khan, Akshay Kumar is coming up with a sports drama on Hockey

Before the release of Padman, Akshay Kumar has released double excitement for his fans in the name of the Gold teaser. In this sports drama set in the year 1946, Akshay is playing the character of a Bengali hockey coach who plans to make his world champion.

This sports movie is the second movie based on hockey after Shahrukh Khan’s cult movie Chak De! India; which is also used as a benchmark to judge other sports movies. Akshay Kumar is seen trying too hard act and look like a Bengali man in just over a minute teaser we can say that he is struggling to justify the role.

Directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Gold will release on 15 August 2018.
