We live in the age of fake news, post truth and all facts. So it’s not very odd when we hear of them, but sometimes these twisted facts reverse what happened in history.
As per a class 8 CBSE Sanskrit textbook which is being taught in the schools of Madhya Pradesh, India won the 1962 war with China.
The Times of India quoted from the book “What famously came to be known as Sino-India war of 1962 was won by India against China.”
The book has been published by Kirti Prakashan Pvt limited in Lucknow. It is written by 5 authors, 2 of them have died. The misinformation is in the 8th chapter of the book which lists the achievements of Jawaharlal Nehru.
Parents of students are outraged at this serious blunder and are demanding an enquiry into this. Some teachers have suggested that NCERT books should be made mandatory in schools.
