Indian Railways have launched a new Integrated mobile app that has so many functions, and is not just limited to booking tickets.
The app is named Rail Saarthi. It has been designed for passenger requirements like ticketing, inquiry, onboard cleaning, and placing order for meal. Currently there are many apps for different services. In order to provide a comprehensive, user friendly experience, all the services have been integrated into one single app. Now passengers won’t have to download multiple apps.
SAARTHI is the acronym for Synergised advanced rail travel help and information.
In addition to this, Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has also announced quota for differently-abled in 3rd AC and extended the reservation period for foreigners from 120 days to 365 days.
