Mi 6, Mi Max 2 users receive MIUI9 Global Stable ROM
In a good news for Xiaomi fans, MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM has been rolled out for Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 smartphones. MIUI 9 first emerged in the technology circles in July followed by its update’s beta versions. Two users have said today that they have received MIUI 9 on their Mi 6 and Mi Max 2 phones.
The firmware version on Mi Mix 2 has changed to MIUI V9.0.1.0.NCAMEI after the arrival of MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM. The Mi 6 and Mi Max are company’s latest additions to its already rich catalogue of smartphones. The company is treating these phones with the stable version first. This is the norm with most Android smartphone manufacturers. New launches receive highest level of attention. Xiaomi has released the update for a small group of users as of now so the update won’t be available to everyone as of now.
New features in MIUI 9
- New icons and animations while opening or closing applications,
- Access to multi-window mode along with the ability to search for apps in the Dual Applications mode,
- The update also offers better protection from accidental tapping on the dial pad
- Improvement in timer for Silent/Do Not Disturb mode
- An overhauled home page
- There is a better provision for virus scanning as well
