Tata Motors have launched a behemoth of an armoured vehicle and it looks intimidating. The vehicle will be named Merlihn. It has a 3.3 litres water cooled engine. Official website of Tata says that the vehicle has STANAG 4569 Level-1 protection on. STANAG is a NATO protection standard for light armoured vehicles.
A machine gun, anti tank guided missiles and automatic grenade launcher can be mounted on the turret.
It has a central tyre inflation system and other features. For breaking, it has hydraulic brakes with vacuum breaking boosters.
