Poorna is the biopic of the youngest girl in history to climb Mount Everest directed by Rahul Bose. It is an inspiring tale of 13 years old Poorna Malavath who has scaled the world’s highest peak on 25 May 2014.
Poorna belongs to a tribal family and was born in Nizamabad district of Telangana. Poorna touches the motivational sports genre by showing the story of a poor girl who fought against all odds to achieve her dreams. The movie will cover the journey from her small hut in Telengana to Bhongir Fort outside Hyderabad, to Darjeeling and Sikkim, to Nepal, and then to the top of Everest.
Rahul Bose who has donned the director’s hat after a gap of 16 years is also playing the role of Dr R S Praveen Kumar who spotted and nurtured the talent of Poorna.
