Former RBI governor and world-renowned economist Raghuram Rajan who also predicted the subprime crisis in the USA is being offered a Rajya Sabha from Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. As per news reports, AAP supremo is keen on fielding eminent personalities from different quarters of the society to fill 3 Rajya Sabha seats which will go empty early next year.
Party is also looking for an eminent jurist and social worker for the other two seats. Apparently, Raghuram Rajan has sought some time to think about the offer before reverting back. The move of not giving the tickets of upper house seats to any Aam Aadmi Party member is considered a masterstroke eliminate inter-party rivalry and politics.
