India-based electronics and IoT company Smartron has launched the smartphone called srt.phone in collaboration with Sachin Tendulkar who is also the brand’s ambassador and investor. The company has R&D centers in Bangalore and Hyderabad.
The phone is Flipkart exclusive and is launched in two variants. The price of the phone for 32 GB variant is 12,999 INR and 13,999 INR for 64 GB variant. Extra 1500 off is offered on the exchange of old phones and free Sachin Tendulkar back covers. EMI options are also available with free one year extended warranty worth 1,500 INR.
Srt.phone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and comes loaded with features like quick charge 2.0 technology, detachable back cover. It has 4 GB RAM, 3000mAh battery and Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor under the hood. The back camera is 13MP with autofocus and front is equipped with the 5MP lens. Inbuilt tronX apps from the company are installed on the phone and will come with USB type C charging.
We wonder, how many smartphones Smartron would be able to sell with brand Sachin Tendulkar along its side.
