Teenage boys at a school in Exeter, UK were told by their teacher to not wear shorts to school. But due to hot and humid weather, the boys really wanted to wear shorts as a part of their uniform. As a mark of protest, they all wore a skirt. Yeah, skirts! and went to the school.
The Telegraph reported that around 50 students at the ISCA Academy are wearing girls uniform as a part of the protest.
The headteacher sarcastically told them that if they want they can wear skirts. She must not be knowing that the young lads will indeed take it seriously.
Wards of few boys said that girls are allowed to wear skirts all year round, so it is unfair to not allow shorts for the boys. The school is considering changing its uniform policy and doesn’t want the students to suffer due to weather.
“We recognize that the last few days have been exceptionally hot and we are doing our utmost to enable both students and staff to remain as comfortable as possible,” said headteacher Aimee Mitchell.
The young boys deserve applause for not even thinking that they could be mocked for wearing a girly dress. Instead, they looked cool and cheerful.
