Watch: Pahlaj Nihalani cornered by a reporter in an elevator over Jab Harry Met Sejal Challenge

Controversial CBFC chairman Pahlaj Nihalani was cornered in an elevator by a Mirror Now reporter for over two and half minutes after losing a challenge he threw for Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Pahlaj Nihalani was upset over the use of word ‘intercourse’ in a promo of the movie and refused to clear it. He even challenged that if the promo gets over one lakh votes in support then he would clear the mini trailer. But that wasn’t enough. He further added a bizarre condition that voters should be unmarried and at least 36 years old in a statement given to television news channel Mirror Now.

Mirror Now ran a poll on Twitter asking whether the word ‘intercourse’ is acceptable in the movie or not and over 80% respondents said YES.

When reported caught Nihalani in the elevator, visibly embarrassed and disgusted CBFC chairman chose to remain silent for the entire time.

This is not the first time that Pahlaj Nihalani has used his medieval and bizarre set of thoughts to censor movies. From Udta Punjab to Lipstick Under My Burkha; he has always tried to censor movies with unreasonably conservative arguments and logics.
