World’s heaviest woman, Eman Ahmed, who weighs 500 kg has undergone surgery for obesity at Saifee hospital, Mumbai. The 36 year old was flown in from Egypt last month for treatment. In a statement released on Thursday, the hospital said that a laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy was performed on Eman on March 7. She has been put on oral fluids and is responding to the treatment well.
The hospital added that all efforts will be made to cure all her illnesses and send her home to Egypt as soon as possible.
